At an elevation of 9,200 feet, Wind River Ranch is located 7 miles south of Estes Park, Colorado, between mile-marker 7 and 8 on Highway 7. Estes Park is 75 miles northwest of Denver and is the eastern gateway into the Rocky Mountain National Park.

The best airport to fly into is DIA, Denver International Airport. From there, you will need to either rent a car or take a shuttle to make the hour and a half trip to the ranch. You can make an online shuttle reservation through Estes Park Shuttle.

The quaint mountain town of Estes Park has about 6,000 people year-round (and 6,000 elk – don’t worry, you will see many of them while you are with us.). It swells to about 50,000 people during the summer.

Rocky Mountain National Park boundaries are right across the street from the ranch as well as directly behind the ranch. RMNP attracts over 2 million visitors a year.

Trail Ridge Road goes right through the Park and is the highest continually-paved road in America. The drive through the park is breath-taking. There are hundreds of hiking trails for the novice as well as the expert. We highly recommend including this on your agenda during your stay!
