General Donation

When you are unsure exactly where you would like to give, our general donation is the best place to donate. Like most ministries, Wind River has a list of needs, and donations to this fund allow us to meet our greatest needs first. If you are interested in learning more about our most current needs, please contact our office at 970-586-4212. We would love to share with you what the ministry is currently doing.

Carry The Load – Wind River Ranch Team

Each year Carry The Load works through a third-party committee to select non-profit partners that provide healing services for the mind, body, and soul of our warriors. Wind River Ranch has been selected again as one of Carry the Load’s Partners. With your help in this partnership last year, we received $150,000 to help fund our Healing Warriors Program at the Ranch.

Healing Warriors – Veterans/Military & 1st Responders

Our Healing Warriors Program Weeks provide dedicated weeks for warriors and those on the front lines to heal and reconnect with their families. Wind River Ranch and Ministries supports 4 full family weeks consisting of 64 Warriors and their families. They need this special place to heal and draw near to their family, God, and one another.

Be a hero for a hero and help us fully scholarship these men and women who have sacrificed so much for this great nation.

Healing Human Trafficking

Each year, we partner with City of Refuge to host a group of women and the staff with House of Cherith. This is an impactful and memorable week as these women have been rescued from being trafficked and working towards creating a new life for themselves. This week includes many first-time experiences for these women including cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, and often seeing a mountain for the first time in their life. We see so much life and spiritual change through this week and feel so blessed to be able to open the ranch to such an amazing group.

Our hope is to continue to host this week for years to come. To donate to this week please visit our Donate page and select Healing Human Trafficking.

Capital Projects

As a ranch, we do have needs that we often face regarding the barn, cabins, common areas, and other structures to ensure they are strong and usable. We also have projects that come up to add new structures in order to serve our guests well.

Contributing to our capital projects allows for us to have funds to support these specific needs as they come up. We want to ensure that the usable structures on the property can continue to serve our guests, horses, and staff well. Having a healthy fund is essential for this need to be consistently met.

To donate to our Capital Projects, please visit our Donate page and select Capital Projects.

Sponsor A Horse

Due to the COVID-19 Restrictions in 2020, WRR had to cancel two guest weeks and reduce the capacity for the entire summer. This reduced number of guests served and created a shortfall in revenue.

By sponsoring your favorite horse, you can stack hands with us to help cover the horse expenses for Wind River Ranch for 2021. This would be a giant help as it would take the expenses (hay, pasture, vetting, shoeing, etc.) off our plate for 2021 for our 80 horses.

To Sponsor a Horse, please visit our Donate page and select Sponsor a Horse as the giving fund.

Staff Fund (Barnabas)

The Barnabas Fund was created to assist our summer staffers in following God’s lead in their lives. This fund is used to help staff go on mission trips, help pay for seminary tuition, and other ministry-related needs. Giving to this fund helps our many staffers become the person God is calling them to be!

To donate to our Staff Fund, please visit our Donate page and select Barnabas Staff Scholarship Fund.

Memorial Fund (In Memory Of:)

This is a wonderful way to give in memory of a loved one that you have lost. We have a number of families who make this type of donation in order to continue the growth of our ministry with their loved one’s memory at the heart of their desire to give.

Please be sure to include the name of your beloved family member or friend on our donate page so we can properly acknowledge this gift in their memory.
